(L) China
As people in the so-called West are protesting against China’s actions concerning Tibet, today protests from Chinese internet users against the ‘bullying’ by the Western media have taken a new form by adding “(L) China” to their MSN/Windows Live Messenger screen names. As my whole MSN looked red in no time, I searched for more information on the internet and I’ve found several blogs describing this phenomenon, which will probably grow even bigger in the next few days.

Heej Marty,
Ik ben wel benieuwd hoe jij, zijnde sinoloog in de dop, tegenover het hele OS verhaal staat. Lezen we daar allen binnenkort meer over, of moet ik dat even individueel aanvragen?
Ciao!

“expect some new posts very soon” hmmm… dat ‘very’ soon is duidelijk relatief, aangezien we alweer bijna een maand verder zijn ;-)? aangezien ik met al dat gewerk nog maar sporadisch online te vinden ben, heb ik natuurlijk wel wat (on)zinnig blogmateriaal van mijn iBuddy nodig om op de hoogte te blijven he :P. so start typing!

In response to the Love China hype, it might be intereseting to know that recentely a counter MSN viral has been launched, stating:
Love (L) China & Human Rights.
This is done for all people who are sick and tired of the China bashing in the media, but also like to speak out for Human Rights.
This initiative comes from Dutch media house Boomerang and Amnesty International.
